The Inaugural Sport-Off Champion

After 8 events, there was a 2-way tie for 1st place between Ryan Burns & R.J. Pomeroy.

On August 2nd, 2008, the two squared off for the tie-breaking event: Beer Pong.

They started things off by establishing the rules and drinking a beer.

The first game was close but ultimately went to Ryan. Game two went to R.J., causing a decisive game three.

By the third game, the competitors were drunk and the crowd was disinterested. Despite this, it was a hard-fought match and a winner was crowned:

R.J. Pomeroy is the first ever Sport-Off champion. He'll be forced to defend his title in the next competition, but for now he holds the Sport-Off Cup.

It's been a hard fought contest, starting 2 months ago on May 12th. It would be great to say that after 2 months and 8 events, the initial sport-off would be finished, but I can't say that.

-Weaving through cones

-Carry 2 35-pound dumbbells for about 15 yards
-Throw to standing target

2 seconds were deducted from the the final time for each accurate throw.

The first event of the inaugural Sport-Off will be bowling.

It will take place on Monday, May 12th @ 8pm.
